So, you’ve got your marketing plan initiated, things are rolling, but something is missing. Maybe you’ve attempted to participate in social media, but the results are ho-hum and you’re feeling in over your head. Oftentimes, there seems to be a fragmented approach within organizations about who manages social media. Is it marketing? Should it be sales? Or does it belong to that PR agency we hired once before? – All very relevant questions.
The way we see it, digital, marketing, and social are all intimately intertwined as an over arching effort from within your company’s core. How can you advertise, but not want to communicate through other mediums? How can you expect to reach more people if all you do is talk to your existing fan base? The reality here is that these two pieces are not to be treated independently. We have developed a variety of services and processes to help business of all sizes leverage social media to fit their needs. The development of these services has gone through much iteration as we worked with 50, 100, and now 150 different clients from many industries and of various sizes.
Services:
Our social media auditing process gives us the ability to analyze how you are currently leveraging social media across a variety of platforms and technologies. From our audit, we are able to begin crafting a social media and digital strategy that is right for your company. Oftentimes, the audit process also includes competitive analysis and market research to get a lay of the land.
Researching people of interest, business of interest, and communities of interest is always fun to do. Clients have asked us to research advertising opportunities and groups of interest on LinkedIn. Sometimes, our research just entails figuring out what your target market is talking about on social and determining how to effectively participate.
Brainstorming is something that we really enjoy. Give us some context and access to a whiteboard and our team gets moving quickly. Clients typically get us involved at the brainstorming level prior to starting a new marketing campaign. This involvement gives us the ability to craft an effective campaign strategy that encompasses everything you are trying to achieve.
Once we have all the information we need, our team begins crafting a strategy for your digital marketing efforts. From that strategic plan, you can execute it yourself or continue to leverage our capabilities with the necessary tactics to achieve your goals. Our primary goal in the strategic phase is to shrink the social world into something that is focused, understandable, and manageable. We have done around 100 social strategies and counting.
We develop everything from custom logos for social media profiles, custom landing tabs, and applications based on client needs. Past work has included landing tabs that collected contest information from participants and unique social media icons that fully represented clients’ brands in the social world.
Upon completing the strategic planning phase, our team can help your business implement the necessary items in the digital world. We’ve done Facebook, Fan Pages, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Profiles, WordPress, and many other social platforms for clients. In addition to platform creation, we also implement advertising campaigns based on target market, message, and copy. We don’t forget about your website either. Though we do not intend on building sites from scratch, we do regularly implement social media features on client websites. These can include social icons, sharing features, Like/Recommend, and news feeds.
We know this can be a lot to handle on a day to day basis. Some clients prefer to put us in charge of their social media management. One of the services we have developed is to get things started, vet out the processes, and then begin training your team how to manage it themselves. All the while, our team observes from afar how things are going and provides coaching sessions on a monthly or quarterly schedule. Our experience has found this to be beneficial for clients because social media works best when it is coming directly from the source – you and your business.
Showing your team how to leverage social media is one of our strengths. Morning training sessions or all day events work great for getting everybody caught up to speed on social. Some clients bring us in for multiple sessions to handle foundational and advanced skill sets. Training can be generic or focused directly on your strategic plan.
