Facebook Virus Alert
By Tim Barsness | October 27, 2009
There is a computer virus circulating that is disguised as a Facebook password reset confirmation email. The email uses the Facebook email alert format to entice users to open an email attachment containing the Bredolab virus. To avoid it, if you didn’t request a password change, ignore the email. The virus can only affect you if the attachment in the email is opened. Simply viewing the email will not infect you.
Please note this is not circulating on the Facebook website, but through email disguised as an official email from Facebook.
